Grids and Tubes is a collaborative installation from artists Jesse Blumenthal and Karl Schwiesow. The artists created elements for this installation exhibition in their respective studios before recontextualizing their works as a duo at Terrain Gallery in Spokane, Washington. Hailing from Missoula, Montana and Ellensburg, Washington (respectively) the artists will meet at the geographic mid-point to interweave a post-industrial geometric exploration of space and sound; ceramic, metal, and found objects animated through speakers, transducers, radio frequencies, and video displays. The resulting installation will reflect on post-industrial, domestic, and environmental themes through both the handmade and the digitally produced.
