I am an artist and art educator working in a variety of modes and media. Through abstraction and poststructuralist tendencies I create large and small scale ceramic and mixed media sculpture and paintings. I employ Found and altered objects, various industrial and domestic materials and processes, with ceramics which are integral parts of the works which recontextualizes value and objecthood. I hold a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics from Sierra Nevada College and an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Montana. I maintain a studio practice from my home and studio in Washington state. |
